hi trying to find info on the mamy william carrolls in their history in armagh ireland in 1800s

hi i have a relative who travelled on the mary shepard in 1873 and would like to know any more information on this journey

and have been stopped at william carroll born 1863 lived in ashburton canterbury new zealand and died there 1940 -he arrived in nz before 1880 -any help gratfully acepted

i have got back as far as william carroll b 1863 d 1940 married elizabeth hodges ashburton nz i need to make the connection back to ireland
