Was Silas Clark Married to 2 Ladies at the Same Time

Records shows that he married Phoebe Clark in 1809 and then married Sarah Clark in 1810. But he had my great grandfather 1813 by Phoebe or Sarah. He was from New York/Conn areas. Some records shows that he had 2 - 3 daughters with Sarah and had 12 kids with Phoebe. Every where I go, I see just about same information.....I think he was a rounder. Also I think he married Phoebe then fell for Sarah. Help.
