What a great outcome for me and my family!!
I have been able to make contact with a relative on my Grandfather's 1st wife's side of the family.
Her name was Nellie Bluett.
This is wonderful news for us all !!

I read your account regarding Golon Maaka who married Florence Ramari Oliphant Stewart, the daughter of Albert Oliphant Stewart and Adelene Hinepukohurangi McKay.
Albert Oliphant Stewart was the Grandson of Robert Oliphant Stewart and Marian McKay.
Albert's father was Charles, the 2nd son of Robert and Marian. (My Grandfather Alfred was Robert and Marian's youngest son).
Charles married Awhiahua Hetaraka of the Natipukeko & Ngatihokopu subtribes.
They had 4 children. Only Albert and Edward survived.
I don't know what happened to their marriage, but Charles then married Anhera Patara, and Albert and Edward were adopted into the home of their Uncle, Hira Hotene, a chief of the Ngati Hokopu.
Albert married Adeline McKay and they had 11 chidren, Florence being the 6th.
As far as I know, the youngest two are still alive.
Leslie in Whakatane, and Pauline in Rotorua.
