Where Could I Try to Search for the Origin of a Name
I have no success researching the birth place of my Great Grandfather, Joseph Llado. My mother pronounces the name "Yado", which suggests that it could be spanish, and Joseph might have been born in Spain. He lived in New Orleans, LA from about 1869 to 1908. He married Louisa Dupart in 1870, and they had 12 children. I would appreciate any ideas you can give me.
I did not try to find your Grandfather ancestry in the brief search I did . However the following may assist you -
