Where Do You Search for Information Online

Hi! I'm a rookie and just making the first steps on the family research journey. Are there free websites to search for records and other data? I found a helpful list at https://treemily.com/blog/great-websites-for-your-family-history-search/ but maybe there are more resources to use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

FamilySearch thru the LDS Church. I found it VERY useful and it is FREE.

Be careful, some say they are free but when you access them they are NOT free.

There are about 44 free websites that can help. Rootsweb, genealogy.com, wikitree, or just put in a name and a birth date in a google search. Libraries often have Ancestry.com for free.
