Where to Start Mcdowall
Hi, I have just decided to research my family tree from my father's family. He was Robert McDowall born in Streatham , South London. I think his father was from Edinboro and was called Victor samuel I think. Not sure where to start . Any help would be great.

I have only just found your query from 2014. I wonder if you have found Victor Samuel McDOWALL, who was better known as Samuel Victor McDOWALL. If not, I can tell you who his parents and paternal grandparents were.
