Who Are the Parents of Smith Smithin Smithson Williams
Smith Williams born abt. 1810 in the Pittsylvania/Franklin/Bedford Counties area of Virginia. He married Lucy Martin in 1837 in Pittsylvania County. He is found in Franklin County census in 1850 with wife and several children and Nancy? age 76. I have no further information about my great great grandfather except he was found in later census in Montgomery County. I have tried for many years to find his parents. Elizabeth Ayers Williams left a slave named Edom to "my beloved grandson Smithson" in her will, but have no idea if this is a connection to my Smithson. Thanks to all who take the time to look.
