Seeking information about the Wilcox family from Palestine, Darke Co, Ohio in 1800's. Emigrated from NY (story is that there were 8 children; four came west to Ohio--believe the names were James, John, Josius, and Phebe; while 4 stayed in the Stillwater, NY area). Father of these offspring fought in battle of saratoga, stillwater--however cannot find family connection. My ancestor, Alice Wilcox, granddaughter of James Sr above and daughter of James Jr, married Robert Philip Stover, in Sugar Creek, Butler Co., Ohio.
