You don't give any dates for William and Sarah but I had a quick look on ancestry and they have the UK Medical Registers, 1859-1959 and I am happy to search this for you.
I had a look in 1871 and found the following entry
17 Jan 1871 William Redmond Assist surgeon, Royal Navy, Lic. R. Coll. Surg. Edin 160 ( the qualifications means he qualified as a surgeon in Edinburgh in 1860)

thank you for the imformation i onlyknow there son john was born in1879 in wexford ireland then when he was very young maybe five they moved to america as there is no living relatives to help me im at a stand still.John moved to australia in 1902 and married my grandmother in1904.thank you very much for your help any thing is very much appreciated.
