WILLIAM MOLLISON, aetat 85. One of the very earliest settlers on the Limestone Plains was the late William Mollison, who passed away at his residence, "Hill Head" Limestone Plains, on Saturday last. The deceased who passed away at the age of 85 years, was a sturdy pioneer who came to the colony from Scotland and settled on the farm, which he has just vacated at the termination of his allotted span of life, over half a century ago. His farm is to-day one of the best-kept and soundest hearted places in the country and is a monument to a life spent on the land. He leaves a widow and family of grown-up sons and daughters to mourn his loss. The remains were interred to-day in the Calcium cemetery, the Rev. John Erwin officiating at the grave. Otautau Standard and Wallace County Chronicle, Volume X, Issue 503, 12 January 1915.
This William was married to Annie MOLLISON —At his residence Hill, head, Isla Bank, on January 9. 1915 William dearly beloved husband or Annie Mollison; aged 85 years. Deeply regretted. The funeral will leave his late residence on Tuesday, the 12th Inst., at 2 o clock, for the Calcium Cemetery. Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.
