SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. T.
WORSNOP.

The sudden death occurred at South
Gundagai yesterday; morning at 9
o'clock of Mr. Thomas Worsnop, at
the age of 78 years. Mr. Worsnop
had been ailing for over a week, and
was under Dr. O'Dwyer's treatment
On Saturday be felt slightly better,
and drove over to town. Yesterday
morning Mr. Worsnop got up and had
breakfast, after which he shaved him
self, and immediately afterwards
dropped dead from heart failure. De
ceased was a carpenter, and a well
known South Gundagai identity,
where he resided a great many years.
He was a native of England, where he
was born in 1830. He came to Aus
tralia in 1846, and not long after
landing settled in this district . He
was married in Braidwood. His wife
survives him, besides a large family of
grown-up sons and daughters. He
was an old age pensioner. His re
mains will be interred in the South
Gundagai Cemetery at 4 p.m. today.
