My great grandmother Susannah (Susan) Plucknett was a midwife in the Illawarra district around that time.

Try contacting the Royal Australian Nurses Federation in Sydney or the Illawarra branch, my guess is the answer will be no, most Midwives back then were women who had experience of childbirth and assisted the local GP or were known by friends and neighbours to be helpful.

Thank you very much Elainehee, I thought that might be the case.
I couldn't find any lists.

I have many stories of her time as a midwife, in the Illawarra area
which are very interesting.
