WRIGHT, Arthur; Richard and Sally about 1880 Yorkshire or Birmingham.
ARTHUR WRIGHT went to South Africa from Birmingham around 1900 as a coach builder to work for the Central South African Railwasy (CSAR)
According to an old birthday book, Richard Wright had a birthday on 13 February and Sally Wright on 19 June - unfortunately no years are given.
On 31 August 1847 "father" had a birthday - I don't know whose "father"
An entry in the same handwriting records Charles Highet 1 December 1867. What was he to Arthur Wright??
His first wife was Eleanor May Baikie, issue two daughters. His second wife was Eva Lina, issue one daughter, Edna May Wright born 1909, who was aged 12 when he died in Johannesburg, South Africa, 16 March 1921
I believe he was of a very pleasant dispositon and had red hair, was a memeber of the first motorcyclie club in SA (1902?) He was in Kimberley 1910. He was a chauffeur, a motor mechanic, and a cabinet maker.
ANY information welcome, especially who were his parents and who were Richard and Sally, and what happened to all his daughters born in South Africa between 1907 and 1910?
Arthur Wright was my grandfather.
