Joseph GREATBATCH born 21 Aug 1827 Stafford, England (IGI Individual Record) FamilySearch died 23 Jan 1906 Wellington, New Zealand. He married 25 February 1858 Wellington, New Zealand to Mary BEVAN born 22 Mar 1834 Whitchurch, England, died 2 Aug 1908 New Zealand. Mary was the daughter of Thomas BEVAN and Mary unknown.

Joseph Thomas Bevan GREATBATCH the 4th child of Joseph & Mary BEVAN, born 17 Sep 1862 Wellington, New Zealand, died 29 Aug 1922 New Zealand. IGI record at FamilySearch has 'Thomas Bevan Greatbatch'. Joseph GREATBATCH married 28 Oct 1891 Matarawa, Wellington, New Zealand to Jane Hearn NATHAN who was born 1866 New Zealand, died 27 Jan 1943 Christchurch, New Zealand. Jane NATHAN was the daughter of Thomas Wellington NATHAN and Jane HARRIS.
Joseph & Jane GREATBATCH had five children:-
(1) Joseph Hearn GREATBATCH born abt 1892, died 1954 Lyttleton, Christchurch, New Zealand. Occupation: Railway Employee. Married 1929 New Zealand Folio#02676 to Frances Maude GALLAGHER.
(2) Campbell Thomas GREATBATCH born abt 1893, died 1958 Christchurch, New Zealand. Occupation: Tinsmith.
(3) Rudolph (Rue) Christian Wilson GREATBATCH born 1904 Reg.No.690 death date not found NZ bdms online, but family say 1904.
(4) Annie Mary Bevan GREATBATCH born abt 1895 New Zealand, died 1928 Christchurch, New Zealand married 1921 Folio #00187 New Zealand to George Percy WILTSHIRE born unknown, died 1961 Christchurch, New Zealand.
(5) Charles Carroll Nathan GREATBATCH born 1899 New Zealand Reg.No.18986[/]

harakeke on 2009-02-22 21:53:40Hello, my greatgranmother was Mary Brown Nathan sister of Jane Hearn, William Anthony and Harriet Ann Nathan. Mary married Christie Wilson. 1882. Christie and Mary had 11 children. my grandad was the second child. Christie Thomas Nathan Wilson.would love to share info and pics. regards lynn

Mary Snr died on board the Lady Nugent in 1841 from complications from the birth of her ninth(?) child Nugent (also died). Thomas's sister Mary Ann was also on board the Lady Nugent with her husband Edward PRINCE and their family. Regards Janet
bachlover on 2010-11-06 19:13:50George Percy Wiltshire, but known to family as Uncle Dick, was born in 1890 and died in 1961 in Christchurch, New Zealand. He was my uncle; his father was my grandfather Thomas Hammond Percy Wiltshire who was born on the ship Percy in 1866 on the way to New Zealand with this parents George Wiltshire married to Sarah Hammond. Uncle Dick was married to Annie Mary Greatbatch in 1921. They had two children: Peter Thomas Windsor Wiltshire, born on 9 July 1921 in Palmerston North, NZ, and killed when shot down while piloting a bomber over Germany on 21 January 1943; and Bevan Carroll Wiltshire, born October 1927 and died on 4 November 1927.
stang on 2011-02-10 22:54:02Elizabeth Ann Irving m. Thomas Percy Wltshire in Christchurch NZL in 1887. Her brother, Robert James Irving, my wife's grandfather. We have had no contact with Wiltshires and I'm on the trail to find out more.
