Dear trailhound, Welcome. Start by writing a specific journal about say your great grandparents, or your grandparents if they have passed on.

I have DALDY surnames in my tree. And there is a new reseacher here looking for MATTINGLEYs in Australia.

Just click on the underscored surname at the bottom of this journal to read more information.

I've just read your entry for the first time today. My paternal grandmother was a Heberle which is a German name. She died before I was born. One of my distant relatives who I have never met has researched the Heberle family tree extensively. His name is Greg Heberle and his research can be easily googled under his name. A very distant ancestor who was called Toffel Heberle married a Carache Ehlers in September 1639 in Clausthal Zellerfeld in what is now Germany. It was his second wife. I don't know if this is any help, but I just thought that I'd throw it in.

Not that I know of. They came to Australia in the 1860's.Due to a family divorce in the 1950's, I know very little about the more recent generations of Andersons. However,I can trace their English ancestors back to the late 1700's due to some unusual middle names.
