McKenzie of Gairloch

Journal by Mcwiggy

My 4xgr-grandmother Christene McKenzie from Gairloch married Peter Campbell from Applecross, Ross & Cromarty. They had 3 sons & a daughter before leaving Scotland from Portree, Isle of Skye in 1803 on the Polly bound for Nova Scotia, Canada. Christene & Peter Campbell stayed in Nova Scotia & are buried there.Their son Roderick & his son Alexander Peter Campbell,
left Nova Scotia on the Gertrude in 1865 & settled in Waipu, Northand, New Zealand. Is there anyone who would know, who Christene McKenzie & Peter Campbell of Argyll's parents or siblings might be?

Hi Mc. if you go onto the site I have given you you can acquire
both Mary & Peter's Birth Certs. Possibly get names of parents off them, at a minimum cost. It is a fee paying site tho not to expensive, as I can't seem to find their parents on Family Trees. Go onto Church Registers, Then Birth & Baptisms, then Church of Scotland (Old Parish Registers)County or City leave as All, & Parish or Congregation Leave as All Too.
You need to register but that is free so don't be hesitant on that.
