There is no death, an angel form
Glides o'er the earth with silent tread,
And bears our best loved ones away,
And then we call them dead.

For him no bitter tears are shed,
His night of pain is o'er;
But weep our lonely path to tread,
And see the form we loved no more."

Dear Jean, Hi there. What a nice surprise. Thank you for your information.

Q.Do you know when he was born? Q.Do you know if Harry and Royal had any children in their 40 yr marriage?

Do you need help with your genealogy re: TAMS?

Thanks for your reply Alison. Harry Tams was born in 1890 in Burnley, Lancashire, UK. He was the son of William and Harriet Tams who originated from Staffordshire. William and Harriet are my great grandparents. I do not know the year in which Harry left England for New Zealand but family stories have it that he went, together with two brothers Leonard and Alfred Tams, via Australia. From the information that I have Harry and Royal did not have any children. Leonard had three girls but Alfred also produced no children. Thank you for your offer of help. The two things I seem unable to discover are the year in which Harry left the UK and how to obtain a copy of his will. Likewise, if there is any help you need from this country please do not hesitate to ask. Very best wishes Jean.

Thank you very much for your help Alison. Also thanks for the information in your journal. It is nice to see a picture of Royal. Royal and Harry visited England a couple of years before Harry's death in 1967. Very best wishes Jean.

For John Hughes
I contacted Pam (Ronald's daughter in Levin) in NZ re Charles Brenmuhl who married Alice Hughes. I am researching my grandfather, Carl Andricksen (registered as Charles) family history. He was illegitemate and and his mother's name was Bertha Andricksen (aka Olsen or Andreassen) in Eketahuna. Charles Brenmuhl was there until late 1890s and ran a boarding house as well as several other occupations. It may be that he is linked to Bertha. I notice there are several daughters married under the Brenmuhl name (mother and father as Charles and Catherin)but I cannot find them in the BDM in NZ. I wondered if they were adopted and if they were half sisters to Frank. We are also trying to locate where Bertha lived in Eketahuna and it may have been in Charles' boarding house as a domestic. She had 5 chldren and of course Carl my grandfather in December 1888. She left the district in 1893 and Carl and his older family moved to Masterton. If you have any information regarding this I would be most grateful to hear from you.
Christine Andricksen.

Thank you re the Brenmuhl Family and my grandfather Carl Andricksen. I have now ascertained that the Brenmuhl family are probably not connected with this family but thanks for the information passed onto me - it was much appreciated.
