What is this? FamilyTreeCircles Locations is part wiki, part directory, where you can not only find genealogy information about any location in the world, but you can also volunteer to contribute your own knowledge and experience. This can be done in two ways...

Volunteer as a location editor. You'll gain access to edit the location and can add information and resources.
Volunteer for the Assist! program and provide local lookups for people who need local assistance.

Be sure to drill down to the specific state, region, county, city, or even cemetery that you can help in. The more specific your volunteer location, the better the requests will be.

I live 4 blocks from Oakdale Memorial Gardens, aka Oakdale Cemetery. I can walk, drive, take pics, get sexton database info. The office manager and I are good friends. I can help you connect with Deb or I can share info with her to surname file or enter in the database. I also live conveniently close to the Rock Island Arsenal National and Confederate Cemetery and have volunteered on Find-a-Grave to take pics for people all over the world. I get the marker pics and copy the marker info to transmit to you. I also can get info from the sexton at Davenport's Mt. Calvary Cemetery where my father-in-law and his family are buried. I will take photos and copy marker info, and in some cases, let the sexton know which locations need attention. I don't charge for any photos unless you want paper copies snailed to you. It would only be the photo processing charge and postage. Check Find-a-Grave first to see if your relative has been entered. I try to watch for duplicates on these pages.
