Peter Fenton 1785 and Frances Emmerson 1797 - Durham, England

Journal by essexclark

I'm seeking information on Peter Fenton (c1785 - Dec 1849) and his wife Frances Emmerson (c1797). They married at St Nicholas, Boldon, Durham, England on 20th July 1828.
Known children were John (c1831), Robert (1832 - Oct 1836), Elizabeth (1837), Robert (28/1/1840 - 20/2/1925) and Peter (17/6/1843).
I would like to hear from anyone researching this family. In particular I am looking for birth / baptism detail of Peter and Frances, date of death for Frances. I am also seeking information on the parents of both Peter and Frances.
I can be emailed at defect@lizzy.com.au
Thanks,
Diane

Dear Diane, Hi. You can find out more yourself on your FENTON family by going to RootsChat. Got to their England boards (Durham) and post a Census Lookup Request and/or Parish Baptism lookup. You are bound to obtain more info.

And the genforums are a great way of getting in contact with living descendants of the same set of ancestors!

If you do find more info, please come back here and edit your journal with an update. Remember to document all your sources or you won't remember later on.

I had forgotten that I had registered on this site. I just found it again by accident. Thanks for the suggestions for finding more information on my Fenton family.

I think I may have found the Death for Frances Fenton nee Emmerson on FreeBMD Jul-Sep qtr 1877 South Shields, Durham Vol 10a Pg 3_8. Only problem is the age is a bit young by about 10yrs. Could still be her though.
