I am looking for a Donald Gordon McGregor born about 1864 possibly in New Zealand and was a farmer in Oamaru. My granmother Adeline Hildred Maud Masch was born in the Isle of Wight 1878, in 1895 she married a James Mitchell Glover in Napier. He died in 1908. In 1914 she named Donald Gordon McGregor on my fathers birth certificate. He was 50 in the year 1914 but her name was listed as Fanny Louisa McGregor I can find no record of a marriage. Also can not find a birth certificate for Donald. In 1916 she marries a David Gordon using Fanny Louisa Glover as her name nee Blackwell which is her mothers maiden name. Im thinking that because of the time he maybe had a connection to the war maybe didnt come back. As she was known as a widow moved away when she became pregant. I cannot seem to find anything for Donald saying he exsisted except the mention on my fathers birth certificate which had a caviet over it. Any help would be wonderful. Many thanks.
