Annietis on Family Tree Circles

Hello to everyone!

My name is Annie and I am currently researching my paternal family line of Mills'. Although I also research Yates, Ainge, Dodd family connections. I am trying to follow this particular line as I would love to give my brother a family tree showing his direct lineage. He was the only son of our parent's and as my father was an only child my brother is the one to carry on the line! He gets married in August of this year and my dream is that he can add his new wife's name to the tree and begin the next branch.

We have lived in Leicester, England for many years but I have recently traced back our ancestors to Surrey. I was doing quite nicely until I hit a major brick wall!

My 5x great grandfather Abraham Mills (who married Margaret Combes on 26th July 1781 in Godalming) was baptised in 1759 and his parents were listed as Ned and Ann Mills. This is my stumbling block, firstly no maiden name is given for Ann and secondly Ned could be short for Edward, Edgar, Edwin, William, Thomas etc., etc., I have tried everything to find my Ned but so far nothing.

So if anyone would like to join me in this challenge I cannot express how grateful I would be.
