searching for correct spouse information for the wife of Charles Appel b 3-1852 in Prussia d 11-11-1930 in Winona MN married Lisette Benker b 3-1844 in Germany d 3-17-1914 in Winona MN they were married 2-9-1867 in Winona MN they had 4 known children Bertha b 1868, William Carl 1869-1950, Minnie 1872-1923, and Lillian Eda "Lilly" (my great grandmother) 1876-1933.

Here is my confusion the birth records have not been found for any of the children but on the marriage certificate for Lilly it shows;
