For over 15 years, I have been researching my family from both sides. Jeffrey and Holcombs. When I first started working on my genealogy, I thought that my family was situated in only one place which was Clay County West Virginia. Little did I know that just over in the next county it was like striking a gold mine for the Jeffrey family and all related. Thing were going good most of the time but sometimes I would run into a snag. usally after some research I would find the person that I was looking for until I got to my ggg grandfather William Jeffrey. I found his two wives and children and most of those that came after. When I started digging for William, it was looking for a needle in a haystack and its been that way ever since.

Some people think that he came from North Carolina and some South Carolina. So far, I havn't found out anything so far. So far I have found family in Clay County, West Virginia and Boone County West Virginia.
