William Tolliday was the 3rd child of ten born to William and Priscilla Martha Tolliday who lived in Victoria.

His father William was one of the original Tollidays that came to Australia in 1855. This William emigrated with his mother Jane Curtis Tolliday, his two sisters Elizabeth and Christiana, and older brother John.

William married Alice Harris and they had three children.

Edith Elsie born 1/7/1898 in Darnum married Clarence Collings.

Leslie Harris born 1896 and died 1980. He married Mary Stuart in 1916.
They had five children. Margaret, Ian William, William, Beryl and Leslie Harris Stuart.

Eric William born 10/3/1894 and died 19/7/1982. He married Elsie Mavis Balding who was born in 1897.
They had three sons. Neil Robert, Brian William and Alan James.

Nathaniel (my line) baptized 31/10/1802, married Jane Curtis. Nathaniel drowned 21/9/1853. His widow and 4 of their children immigrated to Australia arriving in Victoria in January 1855.

Elias baptized 26/4/1804. Buried 6/5/1804.

Sarah baptized 27/8/1805. Buried 27/10/1805.

When the second Nathaniel was baptized in 1802 the spelling of the surname was as TOLLADAY after this date all were noted down as TOLLIDAY.

William Charles Weir was born in 1872 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

He married Sarah Elizabeth Tolliday who was the daughter of John Curtis and Sarah Tolliday (nee Miles).

John was one of four children who sailed to Australia from Southhampton with his widowed mother Jane Curtis Tolliday in 1854. His siblings were William, Christiana and Elizabeth.

William and Sarah Weir were married and had children which started the Weir line of the Tolliday Clan.

William Weir passed away in 1955. His wife Sarah passed away in 1949.

William Curtiss Tolliday is the 4th child of John Curtis and Sarah Elizabeth Tolliday (nee Miles). He is their 2nd son and one of eleven children.

John and Sarah immigrated to Australia with their two daughters Fanny and Eva along with John's mother Jane Curtis Tolliday, his brother William his two sisters Elizabeth and Christiana. Also travelling on the sailing ship the Bristish Empire were Elizabeth's husband Charles Jonas Clark and their infant daughter Jane. They arrived in January 1855 at Port Henry in Victoria.

William was born three and half years later at Geelong on 19th August 1858. The Birth Registration Number is 2712.

William married Jeannie Lindsay on 16th November 1887 aged 29. They had three daughters.

Florence Genevieve born 1887. Married Robert Arthur Williams in 1909. Florence passed away in 1974 in Sale.

Myrtle Eveline Lindsay born 1893. Married a Mr Phillips. Myrtle passed away in 1954.

Ruby Muriel Myles born 1900. Married Leslie Cula 14th October 1929.

William passed away at Sale aged 73 on 21st April 1932. The Death Registration Number 7466.

Jeannie was born on July 1st 1862 at Ayreshire and passed away aged 53 in 1917 at Sale. The Death Registration Number 2910.

William Percival Flack was the son of William James and Elizabeth Jane Flack (nee Hooper)

He married Alice Maud Smillie in Footscray in 1904. MRN 7816.

Clarence William died 1979 at Yarra..don?t know if this is Yarrawonga or not. Aged 70 DRN 14243. Birth year is around 1909. I didn?t have this child in my list of 11.

Walt Yeoman died 1924 at Swan Hill. DRN 16287
Another child we didn?t know about.


William Percival died in 1924 in Melbourne in 1957.Aged 72. DRN 1045.
His wife Alice Maud Flack died in 1962 in Footscray aged 77. DRN 3296.
She was the daughter of James Smillie and Henrietta White.
