Bio

Born March 15, 1946. Parents: Hoyt Leo Willmuth and Freda Elizabeth Willmuth nee. Mason. Grew up in Swifton, AR and graduated from high school there in 1964. There were 34 in my class and we were the largest class in school history until the class behind us came along- they had 35!

Attended Ark Tech in Russellvill for 3 years majoring in Home Economics,now called Family and Consumer Sciences. Transferred to University of Arkansas for 2 yrs. Earned a BSHE in 1969 with majors in Foods and Nutritin, and Voc Ed.

Married high school sweetheart and still happily married almost 43 yrs later. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren who are the lights of our life.

After college, we spent 30 yrs in Mississippi Co AR where Ira (my husband) was a research specialist for the University of Arkansas in soybeans. The research installation was located in Keiser, AR which is about 45 miles north of Memphis on I55. I taught school in various districts around the county finishing my last 17 years at Osceola. In 1998 Ira was transferred to the home station in Fayetteville and I retired.

We now live just west of Fayetteville and all three of our children are close by. I enjoy my retirement by sewing, scrapbooking, crocheting and tracing our family trees.
