Whitworths of Prince Edward, Virginia

My WHITWORTH family begins in Prince Edward County of Virginia in the late 1700's. It is very likely that my Jeremiah Whitworth is a son of a William Whitworth and wife Elizabeth Baldwin.

"Then I have Line of William Whitworth born abt 1735 in Virginia died
1812, Prince Edward Co. VA. from Laverne Raisch, Part of early John
Whitworth family of Pr. Edw. Co. VA. There was only an inventory of
Johns estate no children mentioned.

Generation I : William Whitworth b. abt 1735, marr. probably Amelia co. VA died 1813, Will probated Pr. Edw co. Va. , marr. Elizabeth BALDWIN,"

Jeremiah marries Frances Hooper of neighboring county, Buckingham, and moves there in about 1810-1820. During this time he invests in the new lands of Tennessee (below) and by 1832 has moved his family to Greensboro, Alabama where he and his family live out their lives.

Deed, Jeremiah Whitworth to John S. Cook

Abstract:
" ? Jeremiah Whitworth of the County of Buckingham of the one part and John S. Cooke and Abraham B. Routon of the other part ? whereas certain matters in difference have been determined. ? and the said Jeremiah Whitworth is anxious to carry into effect those award for and in consideration of a Deed of conveyance to be Executed to him to convey With General Warranty in fee simple one hundred and forty two acres of Land lying in the County of Buckingham and State of Virginia which conveyance was awarded ? for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirteen pounds twelve shillings to be paid to the said Whitworth by Bond Executed by the said Abraham B. Routon with the said Cook as his Security on which bond judgment has been obtained in the Supreme Court in and for the County of Buckingham for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar by the said Cooke and Routon to the said Jeremiah Whitworth in hand paid the receipt of which hereby acknowledged by the said Jeremiah doth hereby Grant bargain and sell Passover and assign to the said John S. Cooke and Abraham B Routon a certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing three hundred and twenty acres lying in the State of Tennessee being part of a tract purchased by said Whitworth of Andrew Jackson which said tract of land containing three hundred and twenty acres is better designated by platt hereunto annexed and to be regarded as a part of this deed that is the land Conveyed to the said Cooke and Routon in the following portions, Viz: the said Cooke shall hold one hundred and forty two acres of the said tract subject to this the said Cooke and Routon's future division ?
