Captain Marstella grounded/lost at sea near Galveston

Yesterday I found a note in a book relating the ship "Flash" commanded by Captain Marstella. Apparently his ship was grounded (and lost, or lost later). Does anyone have any information regarding this captain? The spelling of the name is what caught my eye as there are quite few Marstellas in the 1830s era, most being Marsteller or similar.

Paris Sowder in Rockcastle Co., KY

Trying to find out if Paris Sowder, b. 1880s was the father of both Benneth (Bennis?) P. Sowder (b 1932, d 1967) and Seth P. Sowder (b 1926, d 2000). These lines appear very closely related but I cannot find any supporting evidence.

Walter Marstella in Fayette Co., KY and Walter Marstella in Madison Co., KY

Trying to determine if these are the same person. The birth dates per the census are off and the place of birth doesn't match, but the it seems unlikely that there were 2 Walter Marstellas at that time, especially as I cannot find a Walter Marstella before 1870 in the U.S.

Looking for John GREEN of Clark Co., Kentucky

I'm trying to find more information about my great-grandfather, John GREEN, who lived in Clark Co., KY. He is supposedly buried on a private farm near Becknerville, but no one in the family remains that knows the exact location. He married Ida HAGGARD sometime before 1904 and had two children, Fannie (1904) and Jesse (1906). He died sometime prior to Sept. 1907, as Ida HAGGARD then re-married Richard THOMPSON. I'd appreciate any info anyone might have.

Edit (17 Aug 2011): There is a John GREEN in the 1900 census in the Ford, Clark Co., KY area that is married to Rachel UNKNOWN. This is the area that John GREEN I'm searching for would likely be in at that time. I'm curious if something happened to Rachel or they separated and he then married Ida HAGGARD.
