champ on Family Tree Circles

Researching my husband's family: James Handy born about 1838 in North Carolina and married Sarah Jane Atkinson of North Carolina.
Both were bured in Overton County, TN cemetery (Cub Mountain Cemetery)
Looking for a connection to W. T. Handy in Cynthiana, Kentucky. James is on the 1870 Cynthiana census as being a minister. Know that he was there (or at least in Harrison County) as early as 1866 when a son, Harrison J. Handy was born. Three more children were born in Kentucky (the last in 1873) but child #5 was born in 1876 in Overton County, Tennessee.

W.T. Handy arrived in Cynthiana, Kentucky in 1883 the same year his father died in Somerset, Maryland. His father was Robert Dashiell Handy who was born Oct. 11 1825 in Somerset.
