Looking for Brider or Bryda
Charles Brider, a soldier in the British Army, he worked on the ordnance surveys of Ireland and England.
He was born in Portsmouth 20.12.1818, while on duty in ireland he married Eliza Sparks in1838 in Wexford where they had two daughters before he was posted back to England. He died in Newcastle in 1897
His parents were Thomas Brider 1792 and Martha Young.
Donovans in Canada
In 1916 two brothers, Thomas and Henry Donovan left England for Canada.
Thomas was married and his wife Edith, or Amelia, she used both names, joined him a few months later.
They lived in Quebec and in 1918 Henry married Kate, or Catherine.
The two brothers joined the Canadian Expeditionary force to Siberia.
This expedition did not last long and seems to have been a political error. From this point the two brothers and their wives disappeared from view.
