John Bays was born in Greene Co IN about 15 Jul 1861 by Lorenzo and Agnes Bays. Lorenzo died early in his life from Civil War illness/injuries. 1880 census showed John in Union Co NE. In 1910, 1920,and 1930 in SD Need more information on earlier wives/children, divorce, or prison records that are mentioned 1910.
I have his family and marriage information to Clara Florence Sample [North Loup NE] married 30 Nov 1916 with 5 children including my mother Gennie Florence Bays b 18 Jan 1918, Fairpoint SD. Clara and children shown in picture around 1934.
