anyone know anything about the thurlow family or (Ah Poo) in melbourne

looking for Frances Louisa Maud Thurlow born in Belfast (Port Fairy) Victoria about 1848 her father was a solicitor John William Thurlow married Susan Raunclad does any one know anything about this family, Frances later married A chinaman named Ah Poo Ah

My grandfather Edward William Ah Poo born 1872 in Victoria Australia, not much is known as to who are his decendants his fathers name on his birth records show as Ah Poo Ah Poo. his historical records are very hard to find.
I am more interested in finding out more about Ah Poo Ah Poo and his heritage, can anyone shed some light
