eilc on Family Tree Circles

My uncle, Fred Chrystal/Christal was born in Sligo Ireland in October 1905. He emigrated to New York in March 1926. Some years after that he lost touch with his family. I am trying to trace his path but unfortunately seem to have come to a dead end after the 1930 US census. I cannot make a connection in any other record. Any information re how best to pursue this line would be appreciated. I would love to know if he had family, or what became his story.
