Trying to locate Doris's movements after 1914 where her name appeared in the Cairns Post having attended a ball with her cousin Clary Owen. Doris was born in charters Towers to Sarah Butler in Dec 1900. Her father William Vivian Annear died prior to her birth, July 1900. I have evidence where Doris attended Stannary Hills School during 1912 & having attended the ball in Cairns with Clary had obviously moved to Cairns with her Aunt Catherine Owen nee Annear & Uncle Albert Owen.
Any information would be appreciated. Sarah Butler later married Thomas Douglass who apparently changed his name to Osbourne. Sarah died in Rockhampton in 1970.

I have evidence she attended school in Stannary Hills North Queenslan Australia for a time in 1911 aged 12yrs, then a news paper article in the Cairns Post North Queenland Australia where she attended a ball in in 1914. Have hit a brick wall I surmize she was my Mothers cousin with whom she attended the ball. My Mother was Clary Owen & her mother was Catherine Annear & her mother was Catherine Vivian married to Joseph Annear. As there is no other records that I can find of Annears re Stannary Hills I can only assume she was a neice of my Grandparents.

Since my last post I have discovered Doris was born 1900 in Charters Towers and her mother was Sarah Anne Butler who had a liasion with William Annear prior to his death. Dorothy was born after he died and Sarah later married Thomas Douglass & she died in 1970 in Rockhampton. Unable to find any info of Dorothy's movements after 1914. Any help would be appreciated.
