My ggrandmother was a Gore(Hannah JAYNE Gore b.~1854 in the Longtown area(Herefordshire) or maybe in the surrounding area of Radnorshire.Her parents were Theophilus Gore(b.Bryngwyn Radnorshire 1819) and Hannah Williams.They married in Tredegar Monmouthshire around 1840.Our records go back to Robert Gore who married Isabell Somner in 1741 Huyton Lancs.They had a child William Gore(1742-) who married Margaret Morris(b.1749) in 1773 in Llanstephan Carmartyhenshire.william and Margaret had 3 children..1)Edward Gore(1775-1850)..2)John Gore(1777-1844)..3)Samuel Gore(1789-1854) and who married Margaret Price in 1830..John b.1777 was my direct descendant and he married Mary Noakes/Noaks) in Glasgwm Radorshire in 1816.John and Mary had 4 children..1)Theophilus my gggrandfather(1819-1888)..2)Thomas(1804-1883) who married Ann Protheroe(1815-1847) in Clyro Radnorshire in 1830 and then Thomas married Elizabeth Hester Walker..3)Edward Gore(1817-1888) b.Glasgwm married Catherine Williams..4)Priscilla Gore(1826-) married Thomas Price and emigrated to Michigan USA .Going back to Samuel(b.1789) who married Margaret Price.Their children were Mary(b.1831),William(1833-1897),Hellen b.1835,Thomas Price Gore (1839-).William Gore b.1833 married Mary Morgan in Presteigne Radnorshire and they had 8 children..Samuel(1854-1896),David(1857-1896),Elizabeth b.1858 who married Richard Watkins,Mary A (1860-1939),William 1863-,Edward b.1867,Agnes b.1874,Thomas Price b.1870.William b.~1833 Brynmawr Breconshire married Mary Williams(b.Nantyglo Monmouthshire 1864-1950s).Their children were..William(1885-1949),David 1886-,Mary Ann 1888-,Edward 1890-,Samuel 1892-,Blodwen b.1794,Tom 1896-,Arthur 1898,John Henry(1899-1871)....Going back to the start..The father of Robert Gore(1720-) we believe to be Thomas Gore b.~1690 born Huyton Lancashire.The parents of Thomas b.1690 may well have been Henry Gore and Ann Yatt/Yaat.Lastly the children of Theophilus and Hannah Williams were..Edward Gore b.1844,Mary Ann b.1846(married Charles Griffiths),Edwin b.1850,Margaret b.1851,(Hannah b.1854),William b.1859,Caroline b.1860,Theophilus b.1863(married Caroline Watkins).Theo had a child Maggie born in early 1900s in Blaina who married a Ball...Lastly Samuel was born in 1866 and married Margaret Burgoyne...Any extra info appreciated .Also if anyone has any queries I have more records so just ask..Ivorglyn.ps one interesting fact was that Tom Gore b.1896 was a welsh rugby international while playing for Blaina rfc

We are looking for the parents of William James b.~1803 Narberth(a mason by trade) and 'Myrab' Sutton(b.Haverfordwest in ~1798) who married in Narberth on 9 July 1820.In the marriage records Myrab has the surname Tutton.They had 9 children.. all births are approximate ..John b.1820,Esther b.1823,Evan b.1825,Alfred b.1827,Rees b.1829,Benjamin b.1832,Elizabeth b.1834,James b.1836,and Mariah b.1837.Evan was my gggrandfather and he married Anne Henton(in Pembrokeshire).They went to live in the Blaina/Nantyglo area in Monmouthshire.They had the following children..John b.1852(Pembrokeshire) who was my ggrandfather,Wm b.1857,Hannah b.1880,Alfred b.1865,and Mabel(Morble?)b.1869.On the 1871 W census the family live in Henwain Row Blaina.John James married Hannah Jane Gore(b.1854 in the Clodock area in Herefordshire) who appears in the censuses and on her marriage record as just 'Jane'.They married in Pontypridd(Sardis Road).Jayne and James had 2 daughters.. Susannah and Catherine(my grandmother b.~1879).Catherine married John Morgan(b.Blaenavon Monmouthshire) in the 1790s in Blaina.Sussanah married Samuel Wright in the Blaina area.Hannah Jane Gore was the daughter of Theophilus Gore (a farmer in the Clodock/Longtown area of Herefordshire) and Hannah Williams(they married around 1840 in Tredegar Monmouthshire.I will be adding a journal about the Gore family in a future post.I would be grateful for any help..Ivorglyn

I am trying to find the parents of Richard Morgan who was born around 1758 and died in 1831 in Llanddewi-aberarth cardiganshire.He married Magdalen(surname unknown)and they had the following children:Margaret b.1793,Elizabeth b.1795,John b.1797,David b.1799,Evan b. 1801,Morgan b.1803,Timothy b.1805.All the children were born in Llanddewi Aberarth.Evan was my gggrandfather who was a saddler and he married Deborah Davies around 1820 in Talsarn Cardiganshire.One of their children(my ggrandfather) was John who was a master saddler.He married twice..his first wife was Louisa Jackson and his second wife was Anne Parry.John worked as a saddler in Blaenavon Monmouthshire.One of John Morgan/Anne Parry's chidren was John my grandfather who married Catherine James and they lived in Blaina Monmouthshire.I am also interested in Timothy Morgan who married Margaret Herbert in 1841 in Llanddewi Aberarth.,They had 3 children..Margaret,Richard Herbert Morgan who became a minister,and Mary Rice Morgan who married a minister.I am trying to find the parents of Margaret Herbert who was born between 1801 and 1810 in Llanarth Cardiganshire.I am also interested in Anne Parry's parents who were Thomas Parry(born in Llanarmon yn Ial) probably in 1791-1795.I believe his parents were Robert Parry and Margaret(surname u/k).Anne Parry's mother was Anne Davies b.1798 in Llangoedmore Cardiganshire.Anne Davies parents were Abraham and Sarah(surname u/k)

I am tracing the Gundy family which originated in Dymock Gloucestershire in the 1600s and 1700s.There are also Gundys who came from the Tretire/Whitchurch/Ross area.In particular Walter Gundy married Elizabeth(Betty) Davis/Davies in 1788.They had a son John(Jno) Gundy b.~1789 who married an Elizabeth between 1805 and 1816.They had 2 children..1)Joseph Gundy b.~1816 in Newton Dixton who married Susannah Parry on 7/feb/1836 in Newton Dixton.Joseph and Susannah had 2 children..Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Gundy b.~1852 Grafton Herefordshire..2)John(Jno) Gundy who married Sarah Ann Jones in 1840(august 25th).The Elizabeth who married John Gundy b.1789 died between 1841 and 1851.I am trying to find when John married Elizabeth and the maiden name of Elizabeth.Another record I am looking for is when and to who Mary Elizabeth b.1852 married.I have traced Mary Elizabeth(b.1852) up to the 1871W census when she was living with her father Joseph in Llanwenarth Ultra.Joseph died in 1872 and Mary Elizabeth can't be found after the 1871 W census.Does anyone know what happened to her??
