Unfortunately I don't know too much. My last name is Reau and my grandfather (Gerald Reau) was from Dearborn Michigan. He ended up in California. His father was French Canadian, his mother was native american (we think Sioux but that's not for certain). I would love to get in touch with anyone who may know more or are my relatives.
