I do have records of James Jackson born Feb 3, 1767, brother Joseph born 1769. Their parents were John Jackson and Elizabeth. James married Elizabeth Menton and Charles Jackson was my g grandfather 1791-1849. Was this Elizabeth a Jarvis or an Oronton? Not sure where this John was from but likely born in VA. There was a Joseph Jackson Sr. 1795-1774. Could this have been John's father?

John Hughes baker in Savannah GA married Mary Ann Gilbert of Wilmington Island GA 1808. I know there was a John Hughes b 1787 in SC. Was this the same one? The 1820 GA census still shows a John Hughes in Chatham Co GA. The same? They had a son John Denis Benjamin Hughes, one source says b bout 1810 GA, another 1828 SC. This JDB my g grandfather, Bridger John Hughes my grandfather b 1853 Bulloch Co Ga.

John and Mary Hughes in Chatham County 1820, 30 census, mover to Sumter County GA by 1850. Listed ages as 63 and 62. I think this John moved to Savannah and worked at a bakery. Supposition is this John burn SC 1787.John married Mary Ann Gilbert, daughter of William Gilbert, wealthy planter of Wilmington Island GA. My Aunt found court documents and private letters corroborating the 1808 marriage and John Denis Benjamin Hughes born 1828 who married Delia Ann Hughes 1843 in Bulloch. My grandfather Bridger John Hughes 1853-1924.By the way, my Aunt Velma told me she uncovered court documents 1835 where John and Mary tried to get estate of her deceased parents, William Gilbert and Mary Ann Reddick Gilbert.

My grandmother Octavia Hudson b 1879-8118 in GA. Her parents were Marion Hudson & Mary Polly Brown in DeKalb Co GA. Mary was daughter of an Ezekiel Brown. I think he saw action in Civil War near Stone Mtn. GA. Marion possibly son of a Notley Hudson? This Notley- is there a line here back to the David Hudson who settled in Elbert Co GA?c

I found a Notley Hudson in Casey, DeKalb County GA 1850 census age 32 b 1818 with son Francis. This was Francis Marion Hudson my g grandfather b 1849 who married Mary Polly Brown in late 1870's, Mary daughter of Ezekiel Brown Jr. My father said he laid eyes on Ezekiel Brown III in early 1920's.
