looking for any information on john cookingham born 2-26-1782/83
he married ellen(eleanor) sears(shires). He is my ggg-granfather and need information on him and family. I know of two children George Washington Cookingham my gg-granfather and his sister caroline. Believed she married a downie. All were in new york until 1860-65. Then moved to illinois and settled in grant park,kankakee county. then moved on to paton iowa,greene county. I have been trying to connect us to the rest of the cookinghams that have most remained in the new york area. The books that were published in 1993.1984,1923 i have all of them but were are not in there. Tracing back from johan
georg kuchenheim, his son johannes georg kuchenheim and his son is john cookingham were are connected but little info on john. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.
