Hello.

My Name is Matthew Hadfield (1970). My Father's mother was Ailsa Clarence Logan Freeman & her Father was Josiah Freeman of Auckland.

Stephen Bruce Hadfield (my father) was born in 1947, Auckland.

Ailsa would have been born in the 1920's, Auckland. Not much is know about her unfortunately other than she married Colin Hadfield of Auckland. he was born 1919.

Even less is known about Ailsa's father Josiah Freeman other than he was a Builder & he owned the first (builders) truck in New Zealand.

There doesn't seem to be much about Freeman history in NZ. Unless i am looking in the wrong places. I keep coming back to James Stuart FREEMAN, but from what i have found, his 1st marriage produced no children, & he left NZ upon his second marriage.

So it doesn't look like i'm heading the right way.

Has anyone found links to the above Freemans (my relatives) in your searches?

Any information you could supply would be greatly appreciated
