Michael , brother John and Mother Ellen arrived at Melbourne from England on "Mindoro" in 1857

Michael married Bridget GUITON at St Francis church Melbourne in 1857 and he stated that he was Scotch/Irish from Tipperary - his Father was John WHITE and his Mother was Ellen LEAHY.

from the passenger list Michael was born around 1836 and his Mother Ellen around 1812.

The family is still Roman Catholic and we have tried researchers in Ireland with out any luck.

records here show that Michael did not read or write and was an agricultural labourer.

He had a family starting at Heathcote Victoria and died in Gordon Victoria involved with growing potatoes .

His first son John WHITE married Bridget Lawless and they eventually resided at Loch in Victoria where my Father Ronald Peter WHITE was born in 1898

He married Doris Imelda McWilliam from Port Fairy Victoria and i was born at Melbourne on 1st February 1939

the Herbert DEXTER we are tracking was a serviceman in WW1 and in 1916 he was in Scotland.
his military records are not available having been destroyed.

is there a family tree listing Herbert as a RFC/RAF member in WW1
