Looking for kin of THOMAS GREELEY, b. 1791, Cumberland
Maine. He had 9 children. There must be some of his kin still around! I'm doing a book on the Greeley Family. Not related to George Greeley who wrote about "the other line of Greeleys". Please let me know if you are related so that I can include you and yours in the book.

Thomas Greeley of Maine, USA
Thomas Greeley was b. Aug 26, 1791 in Maine. He d. Dec 5, 1868. I have been trying to find out who his parents were for years! I believe he ws b. in Gray, Maine. I think his father was named William Greeley. Gray Maine had a William Grele in 1790. They also had a Wm Grele jr. One of Thomas' sons, Robert P. M. Greeley spoke of "Uncle William in Gray". I think they were both the same person.
Gray's records burned in he late 1800's so I have been unable to comfirm my thoughts about these men.
Who were Thomas' parents? What were their names? Where did they come from?
George Greeley's book about the Greeley/Greely family does not include this branch. It does say that three brothers came to America about 1630-1640.
Does anyone have any imput? I have over 1200 people in my tree and would like to include the Greeley line.
