Iam looking for information on Elizabeth Jane Proud b 1865 Stanhope area Durham.Daughter of William and Hannah Harker Proud.
I would especially like to know about her husband John T Batten who she married 1881 at St Catherines,Auckland.
They had 3 children,John William b1882 Sunniside,Jane Ann b,1890 d,1902 and Richard b,1892 Quebec.

Daniel Day born Ardleigh Essex 1790 living in Hartlepool 1851 looking for a possible connection to William Dye b1829 Ardleigh Essex married to Mary Ann Gills in the Hexham area 1858

I beleve that Ann Hobbs changed her name to Batten and moved to Co Durham about 1875 with her 3 sons.
Her maiden name was possibly Ann Sargent.unable to find any information about workhouse records.
The workhouse is situated in Cornwall
