I am a direct descentdant of Robert MORTON son of James MORTON and Janet YOUNG of Kinghorn SCOTLAND. Robert was the 3rd child of 5 - Andrew b.1823; Janet Hunter b.1824; Robert b.1826; Peter Murray Braid b.1833 and George b.1835.
Robert travelled to the colony of New South Wales - year unknown - but he married in Australia on 22 June 1858.
With siblings with christian names of Hunter, Murray and Braid, there must be a connection somewhere in this wide, wide world.
