I am researching the Keith family. Elysian Marshall (Birth 16 FEB 1850 Arkansas/Death 8 FEB 1931 Fannin, Texas) was my great-grandmother.

Her parents were: Elizabeth Isabella Keith (Birth 18 NOV 1812 Bedford, Tennessee/Death 16 JUL 1876 Boone, Arkansas) and John Hood Marshall (Birth 1808 Monroe, Tennessee/Death 12 DEC 1873 Boone, Arkansas).

Elizabeth Isabella Keith's father was John Birden Keith (Birth 1786 Bedford, Bedford, Virginia/Death 1856 Hunt, Texas).

I am trying to join the Daughters of the Republic of Texas on the Keith family and wondered if anyone had information on this family. The DRT has accepted members on the record of William S. Keith, who was born in Tennessee circa 1813 and died in Erath County, TX about 1888. He was in Texas before 1845.
