Hume from Scotland to England to Australia

I have a Hume family tree site on MyHeritage. I've traced many of the scottish Home's onto that page. It seems that as they moved south into England after 1600 (Civil War) in England and when James 6th of Scotland became James 1st of England 'uniting'? the 2 countries, the name spelling changed from Home to Hume. A very fine researcher in the USA John Hume has consolidated the spelling to Hume for us all. I am travelling to Australia for a month's holiday this year to visit my daughter who is researching for her degree at Brisbane's Sunshine Coast University. I'm wondering what to visit in Australia. Any ideas? Probably must visit the 'Hume' city and Hume lake and travel the Hume highway.
