I am researching a very problematic Curtis line. There were fires in almost every county and state that this line lived in. This line starts in Halifax, VA. and my first contact is Fielding Curtis, 1757. He is the brother of John Curtis 1773, Union County, SC. and dies 1838, in Monroe (formally Barren County), KY. He is the G-G-G-G-Granfather. He was married to Hannah Harlan (Harland) Howard Curtis. I have documented the Harlan and Howard line but there is so little information about Hannah after she marries John Curtis. Her first husband was Jesse Howard. One of their children was Jesse W. Curtis, the G-G-G-Grandfather. He was born in 1818/1819 in Barren County, KY. He died in 1856 in Pulaski County, MO. He was married to Annis Strong in Abt. 1843. One of their Children was Samuel Franklin Curtis born in 1849 in Pulaski County, MO. He is the G-G-Granfather. He moved to CA. and was brought back and is buried in MO. He was married to Rachel Russell and Catherine Haverstick. One of their children was Zachariah Bouden Curtis he is the Great Grandfather. He is born in 1876 in Pulaski County, MO. He dies in CA. in 1935. He is married to Mary Jane Green. One of their children is Franklin Lamar Curtis. He is the Granfather. He is born in 1899 in OK. and dies in CA. in 1953 in Modesto, CA. He is married to Lola Almeta Brock. One of their children is Frank Leroy Curtis. He is born in CA. in 1928. He dies in 1996 in Tacoma, WA. He is the father and was married to Matha Anne Burrell. She is born in 1931 in CA. and she dies in Gig Harbor, WA. in 1996. Robert Bentley Curtis is their son. Any information on this line would be appreciated. I am looking for any pictures or a family bible said to belong to Charity Curtis who was married to Fielding Curtis, 1757.
