Looking for information on how the Ohio Smrcina's (Smircina's) are related to the IA, WI

We know that the Ohio Smircina's and Smrcinas and Smercinas are all related. We think our branch of the family came to Ohio in the 1870's. Anyone know how some of us ended up so far west?
