I was told that my great-great grandfather was a Spanish soldier that fought in the Spanish-American War. He died and was buried in Cuba. His name, Benico or Benicio Monclova. I also heard that there was a Count of Monclova. Is that where the surname came from? What does Monclova mean? Where did the name Count of Monclova come from, what does that mean? Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
