Am looking for any info on the families connected to Chowne and any
boats and ships the Chowne brother's built.

Also any info on the brother's father William who was a mast and oar maker in England's Rotherhithe area. William was married to Maria Christian Lommas, nee Bragg (parents Thomas and Elizabeth Bragg)and died 1829 in Bermondsey.

Maria came to Australia with Daughter Mary Matilda in 1841. Thomas came to Australia in 1839 with wife Elizabeth Jane Smith (Parents Thomas, a Sailmaker, and Ann Smith) and 2 Sons, a son and daughter died on voyage out and a son died in England but cannot find death details.
William Henry Chowne was in Tasmania in 1830 but no details are known till he married in Sydney, New South Wales in 1836 to Mary Barber and they had no children.

Edward Gardiner Chowne married Anne Hammond in England and came to Australia in 1841, and Joseph never married and I cannot find the year he came to Australia but he was mentioned in the early 1840's.

Ship builders in Pyrmont, Sydney and from Grafton and Woodford Island with brothers names of Thomas, William Henry, Edward Gardiner and Joseph. Their father was William who married Maria Christian Bragg. Originally from Rotherhithe and Horsleydowns in Surrey.
