Looking for Reuben Hazlett Seward and Morandy Land

My brick wall that I can't get over is finding the parents of Reuben Hazlett Seward. He was born in Ohio in 1829, married Mary Rickle in Altoona PA 1849. They had three children: John Wesley Seward, Ida Seward, and my great-grandfather Albert Reuben Seward. The Seward men were all in the Masons, and we believe that Reuben was fairly high in the ranks.

The other person is from my mom's side, his name is Morandy Land, from NC....

Important surnames: Seward, Land, Tullock, Payton, Rickle, Hollis, Smith

The person we would like to link our family is: William H Seward, the Sec of State under Abraham Lincoln. He was responsible for the US buying Alaska, "Seward's Folly" or "Seward's Icebox"....

The most exciting part of our tree is finding cousins in a family that splintered in the '50's and the '60's due to family squabbling. One distant cousin in Bristol England contacted us in Minnesota! She has been able to fill a lot of the details.
