Hi there. My wife is a descendant of Thomas James Simpson, brother of Joseph Simpson.
We recently have been looking into the Simpson side and also did a trip down to the West coast of New Zealand to see where it all began. We were intrigued as to what happened to Thomas's brother after he went back to Australia. I was surfing the net as you do and stumbled on itellya's story on Joseph and Mary Ann much to my wifes joy. If any of Joesephs descendants wish to inquire about the NZ side we would be more than happy to pass on what we know.
